
yoga: improving health and self knowledge
Kundalini Yoga is a tool for this time, over all is a key for personal transformation and something that you may experience personally. That is the way it was passed on, to be experienced and from there, recognise the treasure through its effects of the teachings.
Kundalini yoga is passed as a technology which offers kriyas -serie of exercises with a focus- that work on different levels, from the physical body to the subtle essence or the mental structures of the mind.
Kundalini yoga is designed to promote energy flow in all of the energetic channels of the body, but it is most concerned with the energetic channels that flow along the pathway of the spine. When the spine is not correctly aligned there are obstructions in the energetic channels and the energy cannot flow as it could. (at Divine alignment by Guru Prem Singh Khalsa).

Hatha yoga is promoting the union of the Sun HA and the moon THA, the union of our masculine and femenine sides, which represents the union of the two vital currents of energy, prana and apana. As we work in the asanas to focus our attention, linking them with the observation of the breath, through yoga we enhance the same attention in daily life. Our senses are constantly called upon through tv, radio, cars, publicity... In the practice of yoga we work on the retraction of the senses, so we can have an intimate relation with ourselves. TO know ourselves better is to know the universe in us -and outside us-, since what we see is shaped by our own world.
As a personal trainer I offer a serie of tools as ingredients for life quality which may support the development of a quiet but aware mind, a strong but relaxed body and good humour.
We will define objectives and aims together. I offer the following techniques which can indeed surprise you as you learn and use them
- Pranayamas (breathing patterns)
- Alignment: asanas or 'perfect' body positions that in the beginning challenge your body so that it becomes softer, stronger and comfortable, increasing flexibility (in mind and body), strength, concentration, direction, grace.
- Bhandas (spaces in the body that offer the possibility to work with the energy and provide healthy solutions to popping up difficulties as we grow on age)
Most of all, is a practice to enhance the awareness about yourself and deepen in your inner knowledge.
- Meditation as a tool to feel yourself in a focussed and full perception, observing without judging, letting all be. Mind training.
